Fight against terrorism in Balochistan will continue: PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday declaring a continuing fight against terrorism said would not allow sabotaging peace and development in Balochistan.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Imran Khan strongly condemned terror attacks on soldiers in Balochistan in which 4 young people were martyred and 8 injured yesterday.

He was addressing the Baloch tribal dignities and officials at Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s Residency in Ziarat. Fawad Chaudhry also accompanied him. PM prayed for the martyred and expressed his deep heart sympathies with their families.

The PM said former rulers indebted the country. He said he felt some sorry for the opposition as the government had come out of crisis and economic growth had been increased up to 4 percent that would also enhance next year.

He said he did not come in power to make palaces in London. He said the opposition had a fear of ending their politics if the economy would become stronger in his government. And that was the reason, why the opposition was not agreed with the government figure of 4 percent of the economic growth, the PM said.

Imran Khan said he was not a king like previous rulers who distributed wealth among blue-eyed on their own wishes but a prime minister and bound to look our financial resources first and then released funds for the development project.

He said only the nations developed when their leaders stayed in the country and avoided making assets abroad like Mahathir Muhammad of Malaysia. He added it was not possible for the country's money to be stolen and the country to develop.

Unfortunately, previous rulers of Pakistan made properties and assets abroad, even they spent their Eid vacations as well as medical treatments in foreign countries, he added.  

The PM said Balochistan had been neglected in the past, and the money given to it in past was also not spent properly.

But, he said his government first ever seriously considered Balochistan as its own province and paid financial assistance for development of it.

He said he was an environmentalist and considered the area of Ziarat and suburb localities could develop as best spots for promoting tourism that could helpful for uplifting livening standard of locals.

Imran Khan said he was worried about the unity of the opposition as it was giving date after date for toppling his government but remained unsuccessful.

He said when he would become in power for the next term, Pakistan would go more up as he had already succeeded to come out of the country from a difficult time.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Quetta on a one-day visit. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry and others.

At Quetta Airport, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan and Chief Secretary Mather Niaz Rana, Provincial Ministers, Members of Assembly welcomed the Prime Minister.

Strict security arrangements were made to deal with any untoward incident during his visit to Quetta and Ziarat.

Governor of Balochistan Amanullah Khan Yasinzai having differences was not present at the airport for PM’s reception.
