Govt increases subsidy on petroleum products

The finance ministry on Wednesday increased the subsidy on petroleum products, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per the official sources, the government has given a subsidy of Rs247 billion on petrol and diesel since March 1, 2022.

The subsidy on petrol has been increased from Rs17.2 to Rs39.2, whereas, the subsidy on high speed diesel has been increased and set at Rs53.5.

The subsidy on kerosene oil has been increased and set at Rs26.38, and, the subsidy on light diesel oil has also been increased and set at Rs38.8.

According to the sources in the finance ministry, a subsidy of Rs44 billion will be given on petrol and diesel in the month of June.
