Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has reiterated that the government will never allow the ‘Fasadi March’ to enter Islamabad vowing that the ‘subversive’ elements will be crushed and dealt with an iron hand, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The interior minister was chairing a meeting called on Wednesday to enhance the operational proficiency of Islamabad police and Frontier Constabulary. 

Interior Minister Rana Sana told the meeting that the country could not be left at the mercy of ‘Fasadi’ groups and ‘subversive elements’ while vowing that the government would in no case allow the ‘Fasadi March’ to enter the federal capital. 

He said that the ‘Evil Marchers’ would be crushed and those who would try to take law into their own hands, they would be deal with an iron hand.

He told the meeting that yesterday the federal cabinet strongly condemned the long marchers’ torture on the officials of police, Rangers and FC. 

It was decided in the meeting that technical and legal support would be provided to Islamabad police and FC for improving law and order situation in the federal capital. 

The meeting also agreed to bring Islamabad police’s salaries and allowances at par with their counterparts in Punjab. It was decided to promptly pay the Rs1 billion arears of Shuhda Package and FC officials salaries too would be equal to the salaries of KP police and their Shuhda packages would also be of the same amount. 

The meeting decided to use the Frontier Constabulary as anti-riot police for the help of Islamabad police. The meeting participants were also agreed to make Islamabad security foolproof by modernizing the Islamabad Safe City project on the pattern of Lahore; and street crimes would be curbed and security and law and order would be maintained after installing CCTV cameras in streets.
