The federal and provincial governments have agreed to give Mohsin Hassan Butt the charge of Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

As per the official sources, Mohsin Hassan Butt is a grade-22 Officer on Special Duty (OSD), and he had been removed as the Balochistan IGP the other day.

The establishment division has also been informed of Mohsin Hassan’s posting as the IGP of Sindh.

It is to be noted here that the Sindh High Court (SHC) had directed the authorities concerned to take the charge of IGP back from Kamran Fazal, former Sindh police chief, over his failure to perform duties in Dua Zehra case.
