Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry has lashed out at the government over the torture of peaceful protesters, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Tuesday.

“We facilitated the demonstrations in our rule,” the former information ministers said while addressing a press conference. He was flanked by ex-minister Hammad Azhar.

Coming hard on Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Fawad Ch said the minister’s address sounds like MQM’s  Altaf Hassain’s address.

“We are collecting all videos showing violence against the peaceful marchers. The footage will be sent to the United Nations and international human rights organizations.

“The government tortured unarmed protestors and insulted women. Videos of violence against the peaceful protestors are viral on social media,” he said.

The information minister questioned why the Supreme Court was not setting up a commission on the threatening cipher.

He announced that a petition will be filed in the Supreme Court on Wednesday.  “The Supreme Court should decide whether peaceful protest is our right or not,” he added.

He said the rulers have 'nothing to do with governance … they wasted public money on tours in thier 40-day rule'.

He called the CEC an obstacle in the way of transparent elections, saying that the Election Commission is not de-notifying the PTI members while Hamza Shahbaz has become the CM because of the PTI members.
