An Anti-Terrorism Court in Karachi has rejected opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh's bail pleas in two cases under anti-terrorism charges, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The court rejected bails in the cases of rioting during the PS-88 bye-elections and encroachments case. The cases have been registered in Malir Memon Goth.

It may be recalled that PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh was arrested on February 16 after clashes took place amid polling in Karachi's PS-88 constituency.

A case registered against Haleem Adil Sheikh at Memon Goth police station for disrupting an anti-encroachment drive carried out at his farmhouse on February 6.

Meanwhile, Sindh Police brought the Haleem Adil Sheikh to Sindh Assembly in an armoured vehicle amid tight security.

Talking to the media outside the Sindh Assembly said, “Sindh government is playing a dirty game.”

Talking about the Supreme Court opinion on the secret balloting in Senate Elections Haleem Adil said now the Election Commission has to see how it encrusted the elections.

He alleged that at the moment, ‘economic terrorists’ are sitting with PTI in the assemblies.

“I hope there will be a barcode and I appeal to the Election Commission to abide by it and anyone who turns away from it (SC opinion) considered as disqualified,” he further added.
