The holy Shab-e-Miraj is being celebrated with religious devotion and respect, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

Special ceremonies have been held to offer prayers at mosques and other worship places. The faithful prayed for peace and prosperity on Shab-e-Miraj.

The prayer leaders laid stress on unity among the Ummah to cope with the challenge.  

Muslims observe the night of Rajab 27 when Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) embarked on a special journey to meet the Almighty.

Well-known religious scholar Dr Ragheb Naeemi said that the Ummah should spend more time in worship to seek blessings.
