Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhary has suggested repolling instead of recounting in NA-249 by-election, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.  

While reacting to the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision of withholding the result of the by-election and recounting on Saturday, the federal information minister said that almost all the political parties were curarizing the win of PPP in the election.

He asked the opposition not to cry if they were not ready for electoral reforms. 

Fawad appreciated the ECP’s decision of withholding the result of NA-249 by-election. He said the turnout was very low in the by-election.

Earlier, Fawad Chaudhary had criticized the PPP, saying that the party held the whole system hostage for the sake of one seat. This is why we need to make reforms in the electoral process, he added.
