The United States has reaffirmed the mutual commitment of Washington and Islamabad to address regional security challenges including terrorism, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

In a new briefing in Washington on Tuesday, US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel underscored Pakistan’s significant contributions to the fight against terrorism and reiterated unwavering US support for their ongoing efforts.

“In combating threats to regional stability, we stand together with Pakistan,” Patel stated, adding “Recognizing the sacrifices they’ve made, we fully endorse their ongoing endeavours.”

Furthermore, the US has reiterated its backing for initiatives aimed at safeguarding the well-being of Pakistani citizens, stressing the imperative of upholding the rule of law and safeguarding human rights within the nation.

Addressing allegations of RAW’s involvement in a plot targeting an American citizen, Patel urged accountability from the Indian government and stressed the necessity of holding those responsible to task.

The US is actively engaged with the Indian investigative body and consistently conveys its concerns directly to the Indian authorities, seeking updates on the matter.

Patel emphasized ongoing collaboration with the Indian investigation team and reiterated the United States’ commitment to directly addressing concerns with the Indian government.

“We maintain a direct line of communication with the Indian government on this issue,” Patel affirmed, adding “Our efforts to convey our concerns persist unabated.”
