Leader of the Opposition in Senate Sherry Rehman Monday urged the Imran government to publicize the ‘secret’ agreement with the banned religious party, the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader demanded the government share the deal details with the public because the secrecy of it was raising many questions.

“What was the agreement that would be revealed at the appropriate time,” she raised questions and demanded the government to disclose the agreement at once.

She said that the government should inform the people about the terms of the agreement.

Sherry said only the courts were powered to terminate the status of any banned organization or prosecute an individual so, on what basis, the government was giving a guarantee to the banned organization?

Sherry also said that the PM and his government had taken a U-turn from their statements by bowing to the banned organization.
