An unusual theft case has been reported in the limits of Muradpur Police Station, Sialkot, where a mother allegedly teamed up with her lover to rob her own son’s house, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.

According to police and FIR details, the accused woman, identified as Mubeen Bibi, allegedly collaborated with her alleged lover to clean out the residence while the victim was away attending a funeral.

When the son returned home, he reported that cash amounting to Rs3.5 million and five tolas of gold jewellery had been stolen.

The complainant alleged that his mother and the salesman of his shop, namely Zohaib, jointly carried out the theft.

“My mother, Mubeen Bibi, along with salesman Zohaib, committed the robbery,” he stated in his police complaint.

Police said the initial investigation suggests the shop salesman and the woman jointly executed the crime before fleeing the scene.

Both suspects reportedly escaped after the incident.

A case has been registered on the complaint of the son, and a search operation has been launched to arrest the absconding suspects.
