Veteran politician Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa laid to rest in Dera Ghazi Khan

Former Punjab Governor Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa, who breathed his last in Lahore yesterday, was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Dera Ghazi Khan on Friday, 24NewsHD TV reported. 

His funeral prayers were offered at a local cricket stadium, drawing a large gathering that included Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, former governors Latif Khosa and Rafique Rajwana, former Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, and former Chief Secretary Naseer Mahmood Khosa.

The funeral was also attended by his son and former caretaker chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa, along with politicians from multiple parties, religious leaders, lawyers, journalists, district officials, and a large number of citizens.

Following the nimaz-e-jinaza, the veteran politician was buried in his ancestral graveyard, where family members and political leaders paid final tributes.

Latif Khosa, a prominent member of the family, led the tributes at the gravesite, describing the deceased as a towering figure in Punjab’s political landscape.

Dera Ghazi Khan remained in mourning following his passing.

He was widely regarded as a key figure in the province’s political evolution, leaving behind a strong legacy within the Khosa family’s long-standing political tradition.
