One person was killed and seven others were seriously injured during a bloody clash between two rival groups over the construction of a wall in Bannu on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Cantonment Police Station.
During the heavy exchange of fire, a pedestrian died on the spot and seven others received serious injuries.
Soon after the incident, local police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead and the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) in Bannu.
Earlier in July 2025, an armed clash broke out between local residents and terrorists in the jurisdiction of Meryan Police Station in Bannu after the militants tried to forcefully collect 'donations' from the community.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) Saleem Abbas Kalachi, a large number of terrorists were sighted in the Meryan area.
DPO Kalachi said the terrorists, under the guise of collecting donations, were reportedly attempting to intimidate the local population.
