According to the Agricultural Census Report 2024, the total number of donkeys in Pakistan has reached 4.9 million, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Punjab province is far ahead as over 24 lakh donkeys were reported in the province. Sindh ranks second and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ranks third in the number of donkeys while the number of donkeys in Balochistan province is less than other provinces. The number of donkeys in Punjab has reached 2.4 million while in Sindh the figure reached 1.081 million.
The population of donkeys in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reached 782,000 while the number of donkeys in Balochistan has reached 630,000. The pollution of donkeys in the federal capital has been recorded at 4,000.
