Two kidnappers were gunned down during an encounter with the police in Lahore, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
Sources in the Crime Control Department (CCD) said that the CCD raided an area within the jurisdiction of Chung Police Station.
On seeing the police team, the suspects started firing at them. The police retaliated.
During a heavy exchange of fire, both suspects, who were later identified as Shoaib and Zubair, received serious injuries and died on the spot.
CCD sources further revealed that the deceased were involved in the kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl from Manga Manda.
Later, the companions of the dead accused flee from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness.
It is necessary to mention here that during the encounter, no vehicle of the CCD was damaged.
