A district and sessions court in Islamabad on Monday sent former senators Mushtaq Ahmed and Daniyal Abdullah to Adiala Jail on judicial remand in a case involving the alleged recovery of weapons during Kashmir-related protests.
Judicial Magistrate Naseeruddin heard the case registered against the two accused at Ramna police station.
During the hearing, the investigation officer informed the court that the investigation had been completed and requested that the accused be sent on judicial remand.
The court accepted the request and ordered that Mushtaq Ahmed and Daniyal Abdullah be sent to Adiala Jail.
The court directed authorities to produce the accused again on August 24.
It also instructed the investigation officer to submit the case challan within the prescribed time.
