Two wanted dacoits, including Rajab Shar, escaped from the Obaoro Civil Court on Monday while being brought from Ghotki Jail for a hearing, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to police, Rajab Shar and Morio Shar were among around 20 prisoners brought to the court.
The two allegedly broke a window of the court premises and escaped, triggering a search operation in the area.
Rajab Shar is considered a highly dangerous criminal and was allegedly involved in the killing of 12 Punjab police personnel.
A total bounty of Rs15 million had been announced for his arrest, with Rs10 million offered by the Punjab government and Rs5 million by the Sindh government.
Police said both fugitives had been arrested around three months ago during an operation against criminals in the Ronti riverine area.
Following their escape, police set up checkpoints at various locations and launched a search operation to recapture the two dacoits.
Police have also begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the escape and how the suspects managed to break out of the court premises despite being in custody.
