PTI removes OIC Deputy Secretary Mian Waheed for representing PM’s son-in-law in Daily Mail case

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Saturday removed Mian Waheedur Rahman from the post of Deputy Secretary of PTI’s Office of International Chapters (OIC) for representing PM Shehbaz Sharif’s son-in-law in the Daily Mail case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Barrister Mian Waheedur Rehman was counsel for PM Shehbaz Sharif’s son-in-law Ali Imran in the Daily Mail case.

The Party officials have also expressed their displeasure over Mian Waheed being Ali Imran's lawyer in the past also.

Mian Waheed appeared in the media as Ali Imran's lawyer after Daily Mail’s apology to Pm Shehbaz.

The party sources confirmed that Mian Waheed was removed from office for defending Ali Imran.

OIC Secretary Dr Abdullah Riar issued a notification to remove Mian Waheed from the post.

Mian Waheed, an old worker and leader of PTI UK, had also held the post of president of PTI London in past.

PTI East of England Additional General Secretary resigns

PTI East of England’s Additional General Secretary Saif Chaudhry has resigned from his post as well.

A close aide of sacked PTI OIC Deputy Secretary Mian Waheed, Saif announced his resignation through a video message.

In the message, Saif said he was resigning from the post due to personal commitments and that the youth who came to the party should get a chance.
