Following the successful implementation of the e-challan system in Karachi, authorities have decided to introduce electronic traffic fines in Hyderabad as well, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
In a joint press conference, DIG Hyderabad and Commissioner Hyderabad announced that the e-challan system would be launched across three districts of the Hyderabad division, with the first phase focusing on key areas of the city.
According to Tariq Dharejo, 72 cameras will be installed on major roads in Hyderabad to monitor traffic violations.
The initial rollout will cover Autobahn Road, Jamshoro Road, Wadhu Road, and Qasimabad, ensuring automated enforcement of traffic rules.
Additionally, traffic officials revealed that three new traffic signals will be installed on prominent city roads to further regulate traffic flow and enhance road safety.
The move is part of a broader initiative to modernize traffic management and reduce violations through technology-driven solutions.
