FIFA Monday extended the tenure of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) normalization committee until July 31, 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a statement issued by the PFF normalization committee, FIFA appointed Saud Azim Hashmi, a current member of the committee, as its new chairman.

Hashmi is set to assume office on February 16, succeeding the outgoing chairman Haroon Malik whose tenure is nearing completion.

Following Hashmi’s appointment, committee members Muhammad Shahid Niaz Khokhar and Haris Azmat will continue their roles and responsibilities within the PFF normalization committee.

FIFA initially established the normalization committee in 2019 to ensure transparency in Pakistan’s football affairs and facilitate PFF elections.

The latest extension of the committee’s tenure indicates that there is still work to be done in achieving these objectives.
