Civil Lines Police in Muzaffargarh on Monday registered an FIR against 15 known and 20 unknown PTI leaders and workers, including MNA Jamshed Dasti, for interference in official duty and under MPO-related sections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The spokesman for the police said that four protestors had also been taken into custody.
Giving details, he said that MNA Dasti, along with several PTI workers, took out a rally on Saturday (February 8) despite the imposition of Section 144 and had an altercation with the police.
Initially, the spokesman added, the police succeeded in forcing the party workers to retreat. “However, later the workers returned and had an exchange of hot words with the Force,” he elaborated.
He went on to say that the police were conducting raids for the arrest of MNA Dasti and other PTI workers.
FIR registered against PTI Balochistan leaders for violating section 144
Also on Monday, Quetta Police registered an FIR against PTI Balochistan President Daud Shah and Noor Muhammad Khilji for violating section 144 on February 8.
Sections related to the closure of roads, making inflammatory speeches and chanting slogans against the government and the state institutions were also inserted in the case.
