President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his brief stopover at Istanbul Airport in Turkiye, en route to Lisbon, capital of Portugal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan warmly received the president at the airport.
During the meeting, President Zardari and President Erdogan discussed bilateral ties and the matters of mutual interest besides exchanging courtesies.
President Zardari is currently on a visit to Portugal to express condolences on the passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan.
