Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday started the week with a positive note and gained more than 1,000 points as buying activity was strong in power generation, oil marketing companies (OMCs) and automobile manufacturers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The KSE-100 Index closed the day after gaining 1055.03 points or 0.95 percent to reach 111,377.96 points.
Major index stocks, including INDU, HBL, EFERT, PSO, SHELL, NRL, PRL, and HUBCO, were all traded in positive territory.
Economic experts said that many stocks have reached attractive levels and there could be some fresh buying at these levels.
They further said that the next International Monetary Fund (IMF) Review remained a key milestone to cross and may revive investor sentiment.
On Friday, the PSX had closed on a positive note as the benchmark KSE-100 index gained 21.78 points, showing a nominal change of 0.02 percent, closing at 110,322.94 points.
