Pakistan's score on the 2025 Corruption Perception Index (CPI) has risen by one point, from 27 to 28, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Pakistan achieved 136th position in the report issued by Transparency International (TI). Pakistan's overall score has also continued to trend upward due to good governance and continuous institutional reforms over the past four years.
According to the Transparency International report, Pakistan has seen significant improvements not only in public sector and administrative corruption but also in corruption indices in legislative institutions and the judiciary.
The Transparency International report includes key indicators, including administrative corruption and judicial corruption, improved by up to five points.
Pakistan's position has improved by four ranks in the last four years. A marginal decrease was witnessed in corruption during the last four years.
Earlier, in December 2025, Transparency International Pakistan also published its annual report, according to which two out of three citizens have never faced corruption or irregularities in government institutions.
Last year, 135 government agencies in Pakistan implemented more than 600 successful reforms, details of which were released in the Pakistan Reforms Report.
Transparency International has called for institutional reforms to eliminate the perception of corruption globally. It should be noted that in the last four years, Pakistan has been able to significantly improve the perception of corruption by four levels through institutional reforms.
