The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)’s Commercial Banking Circle Islamabad nabbed a dealer involved in illegal currency exchange business, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The FIA launched a crackdown against illegal currency business and detained the dealer Noor Haleem from Sector G-94 of the federal capital.
The accused was running an illegal currency exchange business under the guise of a mobile shop.
During the search, the FIA officials seized $1,107, 200 Australian Dollars, 100 Euros, 400 Saudi Riyals, 24,560 Afghanis and 489,100 Rupees from his possession.
A case was registered against the accused since he failed to justify holding the recovered currency.
