India’s national shooting coach, Ankush Bhardwaj, has been arrested on allegations of rape, according to Indian media reports.
The complaint was lodged by a 17-year-old national-level shooter, who accused the coach of sexually assaulting her at a hotel during a performance evaluation for a shooting event held in Delhi.
Following the allegation, Haryana Police arrested the coach after receiving a detailed complaint from the victim’s family.
Police have registered a case and initiated formal investigations, including recording statements.
