Punjab government has decided to set up the province's first digital vegetable and fruit market in Lahore's Kahna Kacha Mandi, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
A digital monitoring system will be created in Kahna Kacha Mandi. The entire process of auctioning vegetables and fruits will be digitalized in the market. Data of all trucks coming to the market will be available on the Safe City dashboard and all data of vegetable and fruit trucks will be available on one click. A complete database of supply and demand of essential commodities can be compiled. Digital rate list boards will be installed at different places in the market. A record will be compiled by registering all the vendors and sellers of the market. All the records of which vegetable or fruit was sold in the market and in what quantity will be available.
The data of all wholesalers will also be compiled and Kahna Kacha Mandi to be digitized as a pilot project. The digitalization will enable accurate data on the total business and financial volume in Kahna Kacha Mandi.
