As the country is in the grip of extremely cold weather with temperatures plummeting in the mountainous areas as well as plains, the Met Office on Saturday forecast that the weather would become chillier in days to come, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
This is certainly not a welcome news for the school going children who will have to brave bitterly cold weather in case winter vacations are not extended.
On the other hand, prediction for an intensity in cold weather has made parents of children worried who have now demanded an extension in vacations.
On the other hand, Met Office Deputy Director Irfan Virk clarified that although the winter season was harsh, but still record-breaking temperatures had not been recorded anywhere in the country.
Speaking to the 24News TV channel, he said that students should go to their educational institutions but at the same time they should make it sure they were not exposed to cold weather.
