Apart from winning or losing, the third option in war is an incomplete battle, meaning failure of the mission. You cannot hide defeat or wash away the humiliation with ifs and buts. It should also be remembered that any party willing to go to war displays not only passion but also prudence. Mere rhetoric is a waste of time.
If someone claims that the mujahideen won after Hamas’ attack and Israel’s retaliatory genocidal action, it is nothing but self-deception. The US spent trillions of dollars and two decades in Afghanistan without achieving its objectives, and those it came to crush—the Taliban—returned to power. This is not technically a military defeat but certainly a failure.
The recent Pakistan-India war resulted in Pakistan’s victory and India’s defeat. In response to India’s attack, the Pakistani military’s strong counteraction left the enemy rattled, forcing it to agree to a ceasefire. Modi was so flustered that he blurted out, “Pakistan ended up attacking us instead.” This reaction clearly shows that the Indian warriors, in their foolishness, thought they could attack civilian areas of a nuclear-armed country without expecting a response. This war became a source of embarrassment not only for India but also for Israel and the countries that sell it weapons.
Now claiming that India was facing not one but three countries during the conflict is nothing but an attempt to deceive its public. From Modi to his ministers and generals, all are uttering nonsense. India’s Deputy Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Rahul Singh, claimed that during the battle, India faced not only Pakistan but also China and Turkey, and that China was providing Pakistan with live intelligence on Indian military installations while offering all kinds of support. He said Turkey also played a key role in assisting Pakistan, providing not only the Bayraktar drones it had already given but other drones as well, along with expert personnel during the war. He stated that China was using this conflict to test its weapons against other countries’ systems, treating it like a live lab.
Such statements by the Indian general are not only an open admission of defeat but also resemble childish whining, like a schoolchild telling his family after a beating that the other kid brought older boys. After getting thrashed in front of the whole world, the excuses India is making to deceive its people are laughable.
Taking note of this, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir promptly exposed India’s deceit to the world. He stated that the allegations of external support by India regarding Pakistan’s success in Operation Baniyan Marsous are contrary to facts, and that India failed to achieve its military objectives during Operation Sandoor. Including other countries in what was purely a bilateral military conflict is India’s weak political attempt.
Wars are not won through media statements, imported fancy weapons, or political slogans. Wars are won through firm resolve, professional capability, operational transparency, institutional strength, and national determination and courage. Any Indian adventurism aimed at harming Pakistan’s sovereignty and integrity will be met with a crushing, severe, deep, painful, and beyond-imagination response without any hesitation.
The Field Marshal further stated that India’s allegations of external support reflect its traditional hesitation to accept Pakistan’s success in Operation Baniyan Marsous. This firm stance by the Field Marshal further embarrassed the Indian government and military. It is a proven principle that the outcome of war depends on power, and in this battle, the balance of power was in Pakistan’s favor. Pakistan demonstrated its complete superiority, which will prevent India from adventurism for many years to come.
It is also true that Pakistan is China’s iron-clad friend, and together, the two stand as a steel wall against their common enemy, India. This is why even the US and Israel are forced to think carefully. In the near future, proxy wars will occur, but everyone will avoid a full-scale war or major skirmish.
On the other hand, regarding the Iran-Israel war, the details of losses that have emerged make it uncertain whether another attack will happen. Many in our country believe Iran won the war or had the upper hand, but reports from global media present a very different picture, showing heavy Iranian losses in the form of the deaths of top military leadership, nuclear scientists, and the destruction of military installations.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is currently visiting the United States. Despite two meetings with Trump, no clear announcement has been made, and even if it is, how much can it be trusted? Trump previously said he would wait fifteen days before attacking, only to launch an attack anyway.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in his latest article, revealed that during nine weeks, five meetings were held with American envoy Steve Witkoff, bringing Iran and the US close to historic progress. However, just 48 hours before the sixth crucial meeting, Israel attacked Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, hospitals, homes, and other infrastructure. Iran has called this an act of betrayal of the diplomatic process and a conspiracy to sabotage peace efforts. There are still reports that, at America’s behest, Israel may start a second round of fighting at any time.
Now, a word about our civilian government, which is rapidly becoming irrelevant and insignificant. The situation is such that an anchor alleged that the long-running sugar export-import scam was executed this time by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s family, looting billions. The anchor claimed to have full knowledge of the conversations within the family regarding this matter. Several days have passed since this serious allegation, yet the government has neither dared to deny it nor asked for evidence.
Similarly, another anchor, who was parachuted into the media by the agencies, spread a rumor that Nawaz Sharif would go to Adiala Jail to meet and reconcile with Imran Khan. To deny this, Rana Sanaullah, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, and Ishaq Dar had to appear before the media and make desperate clarifications. Note the helplessness: no one asked the anchor to retract his false report or provide evidence to prove it.
Thanks to the hybrid-plus system, the level of weakness this government has reached is so low that even the dummy prime ministers of General Musharraf’s martial law, Mir Zafarullah Jamali and Shaukat Aziz, never fell this low.
