Following the successful completion of Pakistan's first US SLED training initiative, conducted under the patronage of Special Investment Facilitation Council, adopted by the MOITT and executed by Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Collab P is proud to announce the next phase of this national level initiative.
Collab P, Lahore Garrison University and Tiksom Limited have officially signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch the University Final Year Product Development and Commercialization Program, said a press release.
The MoU was signed by Major General Muhammad Khalil Dar (Hilal-i-Imtiaz, Military Retired), Vice Chancellor, Lahore Garrison University, Farhan E Shah, Founder & CEO, Collab P, and Junaid Butt, CEO, Tiksom (Private) Limited. Muhammad Abbas, US SLED Program Director, Collab P, was also present during the signing ceremony.
This initiative moves beyond training. Its objective is to develop specialized software products specifically for the US SLED market by aligning university Final Year Projects with real public-sector procurement requirements across the United States.
As a partner in the first US SLED initiative, Tiksom will now provide product engineering, technical mentorship, implementation support, and commercialization guidance to transform selected Final Year Projects into globally marketable software products.
Through Collab P's access to US SLED procurement intelligence and market opportunities, students will work on real procurement challenges instead of purely academic concepts, creating solutions with genuine commercial potential.
This pioneering initiative establishes a structured pathway from training to innovation, product development, commercialization, and exports, empowering students to become entrepreneurs, launch technology startups, generate high-value employment, and strengthen Pakistan's software and IT-enabled services exports.
This is more than an MoU. It is the beginning of building Pakistan's next generation of globally competitive software products for one of the world's largest public-sector procurement markets.
