A train bogie carrying coal derailed near Harappa Railways station in Shaiwal district on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
The train was transporting coal to the Qadirabad coal power plant when one of its bogies derailed. The derailment caused significant damage to the railway track. All members of the train crew remained safe and no casualties were reported in the accident.
Train movement on the Harappa section was temporarily suspended, while railway teams launched rescue and restoration work to clear the track and resume operations.
Railway authorities have also started an investigation to determine the cause of the derailment.
