The government has specified a sum of Rs 133,424.433 million for various ongoing hydel projects of water resources ministry in the annual Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for year 2025-26.
According to the budgetary document released here Tuesday, for ongoing hydel projects, an amount of Rs 35,723.932 million has been allocated for Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project (800MW), Rs 25,010 million for Diamer Basha Dam Project (Inclusion of Tangir Hydropower Project), Rs 20,000 million for 34.5MW Harpo Hydropower Project, Skardu GB and Rs 7,787.003 million for Diamer Basha Dam Project Acquisition of Land and Resettlement (2nd Revised) (LA &R).
Similarly, a sum of Rs 10,000 million has been specified for Water Requirement for K-IV Project Improvement of Kalri Baghar Feeder and Keenjhar Lake-Plain Cement Concrete (PCC) Lining of Kalri Baghar Feeder Upper Phase-I, and Rs 4411.736 million for Revised PC-I for Installation of Telemetry System for Real Time Discharge Monitoring at 27 Key Sites on Indus Basin Irrigation System (IBIS) in the PSDP for year 2025-26.
For ongoing schemes in Water Sector, an amount of Rs 3,209.360 million for Greater Karachi Bulk Water Supply Scheme (K-IV) 260 MGD (Phase-I (Modified Revised PC-I, Rs 1671.970 has been earmarked for Grauk Storage Dam District Kharan (2nd Revised PC-I) and Rs 1875 million for Remodelling of Pat Feeder Canal system in Balochistan, District Naseerabad.
Govt allocates Rs 15,005.801 mln for Housing & Works Division
Federal Government has allocated a total amount of Rs 15,005.801 million for the ongoing and new schemes of Housing and Works Division for the fiscal year 2025-26 under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
According to the budget document issued here on Tuesday, the allocation includes Rs 14,805.801 million for twenty five ongoing projects and Rs 200.000 million for two new development schemes.
The two new development schemes included Construction of RCC Pre-Stressed Bridge Mari Safdar Shah at Siren River UC Behrkund Tehsil & District Mansehra and Construction of RCC Pre-Stressed Bridge at Shah Da Panja at Siren River UC Behrkund Tehsil & District Mansehra.
Govt allocates Rs118.58 mln for Petroleum Division in PSDP 2025–26
The federal government has allocated Rs118.580 million for the Petroleum Division under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the fiscal year 2025–26.
According to a budget document released on Tuesday, the entire amount has been earmarked for an ongoing project focused on accelerated geological mapping and mineral exploration.
The project uses modern satellite imaging technology to survey and map previously unexplored areas of Pakistan.
