Pop superstar Taylor Swift has been granted a temporary restraining order against a man who has repeatedly stalked her Los Angeles home and bizarrely claims she is the mother of his child.
In legal documents filed on Friday, the 14-time Grammy winner described her growing fear of “imminent harm” from the alleged stalker, identified as Brian Jason Wagner.
According to the filing, Wagner has visited Swift’s home multiple times since 2024 and has sent disturbing emails to her staff, asserting delusional claims about being in a relationship with the singer and even fathering a child with her.
“He believes I am the mother of his son... and says he needs to see me in person,” Swift stated in the documents, calling the claims “completely untrue and disconnected from reality.”
The filing also alleged Wagner once appeared at her property carrying a glass bottle that could have been used as a weapon. In May 2025, he returned, claiming he was merely “checking on a friend.”
Swift’s security team reportedly discovered Wagner had previously served prison time and had sent her long, delusional letters from jail, describing an imagined romantic relationship.
Even more alarmingly, Wagner allegedly used Swift’s home address on his driver’s license and tried to redirect his mail to her residence.
“I have never met or communicated with Wagner,” Swift emphasised in the court documents.
A temporary restraining order was granted on Monday and will remain in effect until June 30, 2025.
This disturbing incident adds to a string of security breaches Swift has faced over the years, further highlighting the serious challenges public figures often endure regarding personal safety.
