Pakistan received $3.1 billion in remittances from overseas workers in February 2025, marking a 3.8% increase from the previous month and a 38.6% rise compared to February last year, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported. The steady inflow reflects growing trust in government policies aimed at stabilizing the economy.

During the first eight months of the current fiscal year, total remittances reached $24 billion, showing a 32.5% growth compared to $18.1 billion in the same period last year. The highest remittances in February came from Saudi Arabia ($744.44 million), the UAE ($652.22 million), and the UK ($500 million), demonstrating the significant role of overseas Pakistanis in supporting the country’s economy.

The continued rise in remittances provides much-needed relief to Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves and strengthens the overall economic outlook.
