Pakistan’s flight operations for Gulf countries have been facing severe disruptions as the number of flights cancelled during the last 11 days has risen to 1,600 after adding the latest 64 flight cancellations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
As per the latest information, 26 flights scheduled for Tuesday were cancelled, which were set to depart for Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi from Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) in Karachi. Ten flights are likely to take off for Gulf countries today.
Twenty flights, which were scheduled to arrive in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi from New Islamabad International Airport (NIIA) were also called off.
As many as 18 flights were cancelled at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport while 10 were expected to take off on Tuesday.
Emirates’ Karachi to Dubai flight, EK-601, Air China’s Karachi to Beijing flight, CA-946, Batik Air’s Karachi to Kuala Lumpur flight, OD-136, Gulf Air’s Bahrain-bound flight, GF-753, Saudia Airlines flight from Karachi to Riyadh, SV-709, were all cancelled.
Similarly, Qatar Airways Doha-bound flight, QR-611, Airblue’s Dubai-bound flight PA-110, Flydubai’s Dubai-bound flight FZ-336, Oman Air’s Karachi to Muscat flight, WY-324, Thai Airways’ flight from Karachi to Bangkok, TG-342, and Etihad Airways’ Karachi to Abu Dhabi flight EY-293 were cancelled as well.
