The Karachi Kings have confirmed that Australian cricket icon David Warner will continue to lead the side in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
According to the franchise management, Warner has been retained as captain for PSL 11 as part of the team’s strategy to maintain continuity and stability ahead of the upcoming season.
The decision follows the team’s improved performances under Warner’s leadership during the previous edition of the tournament.
Karachi Kings officials said the franchise was satisfied with the progress made last season and believed retaining the experienced Australian opener would help the team build further momentum.
Warner, widely regarded as one of Australia’s most successful modern-day cricketers, has previously led teams in major T20 leagues around the world.
PSL 11 is set to begin later this month.
