The Presidency has decided to initiate grand dialogue in the backdrop of prevailing political uncertainty in the country and criticism on state institutions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reportedly, President Arif Alvi contacted former Sindh governor Ishratul Ebad on Tuesday to discuss the subject of grand alliance. Both the leaders agreed to keep the judiciary and Armed Forces out of political contentions and discourses.
Sources informed that the president would soon invite all political parties to take part in the grand dialogue.
Alvi and Ebad agreed to effectively play their role for strengthening democracy and political stability in the country.
Ebad was of the view that the judiciary and Armed Forces should not be dragged into politics. He said since the Presidency was a symbol of unity, President Alvi must play his role. He opined that all political parties must be assembled on a single platform and they should indulge in grand dialogue.
