As tensions between Pakistan and India remain high, Pakistani security sources have dismissed reports of Indian naval aggression as “fabricated war propaganda” being pushed in the wake of recent battlefield losses suffered by Indian forces.
According to senior security officials, India has turned to media theatrics and disinformation, particularly in the foreign press, following its defeats on both air and ground fronts over the last 72 hours. A recent report published by The Telegraph claimed that an Indian aircraft carrier is advancing toward Karachi, placing the city and its airport within strike range.
Security sources flatly rejected the claim, stating:
“The Indian aircraft carrier remains either at the same location or slightly behind its previous position in international waters where it was stationed during India’s failed offensive on the night of May 6/7. It has not advanced toward Pakistani waters.”
They labelled the narrative as a “desperate attempt to sensationalise” an otherwise unchanged naval posture, and emphasised that such claims ignore the realities of modern warfare, where long-range precision weapons render geographical posturing largely irrelevant.
“The claim that Karachi airport is under threat simply because of proximity to a vessel is absurd. Today’s long-range weapons can strike from anywhere, and so can Pakistan’s,” a security source noted.
The officials reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully alert and prepared to counter any aggression, deception, or psychological warfare being waged by India.
“Whether by land, air, or sea — Pakistan is ready to respond decisively. Our forces are equipped, resolute, and capable of destroying enemy targets anytime, anywhere, with appropriate force.”
Security sources said that while India may attempt to manipulate perceptions through the media, Pakistan’s response will continue to be based on facts, readiness, and strategic clarity.
