The Punjab government ordered the submission of all budget proposal documents to the Finance Department by May 25, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Several government departments have prepared initial proposals for the development budget.
The Industries Department, Agriculture Department, Transport Department, and Home Department have prepared initial budget proposals.
The Board of Revenue Punjab, the Lahore High Court, and the Local Government and Community Development Department have also prepared proposals for several projects.
Punjab government departments were directed to prepare annual development programmes for the next fiscal year budget.
Instructions were sent to all government departments by the Planning and Development Board Punjab.
Initial proposals have also been prepared regarding revenue for the new fiscal year.
The policy related to existing taxes and new taxes is also being finalised.
Departmental consultation on budget proposals is ongoing, and a budget strategy paper will be prepared in a few days.
Letters were sent to the senior member of the Board of Revenue Punjab, IG Punjab, MD Safe City Authority; and Chairman, PITB.
Correspondence was also sent to the Home, Public Prosecution, Law, Livestock, Excise and Implementation and Coordination departments. Government departments were directed to seek the services of relevant experts related to development projects. Government departments were directed to prepare budget proposals and expenditure details and send them to the Punjab Finance Department.
