President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed profound sorrow and grief over the passing of renowned educationist, intellectual, and literary figure Dr Arfa Syeda Zahra.
In his condolence message, President Zardari described Dr Arfa Zahra’s demise as an irreparable loss to Pakistan’s academic and literary community. He said she had set a shining example by dedicating her life to education, research, and service to humanity.
“The deceased’s scholarly services and efforts for the promotion of the national language will always be remembered,” the president said.
President Zardari prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and extended his condolences to her family, students, and the wider academic fraternity.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid rich tribute to Dr Arfa Syeda Zahra, lauding her remarkable contributions to education and research, particularly her tireless efforts in promoting the Urdu language.
“Dr Arfa Syeda Zahra’s contributions to academia and culture will remain a guiding light for generations to come,” the prime minister remarked.
He offered prayers for the departed soul and expressed heartfelt condolences to her bereaved family, students, and colleagues in the academic community.
