The Nawaz Sharif School of Eminence will be established in remote areas across Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

According to details, a total of 165 schools will be set up in various tehsils, and applications are now open for private institutions with modern staff to manage these schools. The last date to apply is November 14, 2025.

Students enrolled in the Nawaz Sharif School of Eminence will receive free education, with the Punjab government covering a monthly fee of Rs. 4,000. The Punjab Education Foundation will monitor the schools to ensure quality education.

The initiative aims to improve education in underserved areas, provide better learning opportunities, and ensure that students in remote regions have access to modern facilities and trained staff. This move is part of a broader effort to increase access to quality education throughout Punjab.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government is considering publishing the matric syllabus in the Urdu language. Currently, the syllabus is being published in the Urdu language for English medium and private schools.

Teachers are not allowed to teach the Urdu medium course in private schools. Teachers of South Punjab are facing difficulties in teaching the Matric syllabus due to its English version.

As per the educational boards, an option is available to select the English or Urdu language. The publication of the matric syllabus in English and the Urdu language will solve many problems.
