Rain lashed most parts of the Punjab province late Monday, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
Heavy rain caused a drop in the temperature of Lahore,
Many areas of Lahore including Islampura, Riwaz Garden, Chauburji, Canal Road and the cantonment area received downpours.
The rain showers were followed by strong winds at 18km per hour speed.
The met department said the speed of the winds was recorded to be 18km per hour.
Rainstorms hit areas of Punjab including Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal and Sialkot.
In Gujranwala, the heavy downpour resulted in the tripping of more than 100 electricity feeders. The teams were in the field to restore the tripped feeders in areas where the rain had stopped.
All the field officers were present at their respective grid stations to monitor the restoration works under the direction of the Gepco Chief.
