Charlie Puth has geared up for an exclusive, intimate performance for small audiences in New York and Los Angeles.
The Attention singer, chose the Blue Note Jazz Clubs for the cozy performances in both cities. He called the series of his performances an "intimate run to become a truly memorable one for the books" in a press release.
He also shared the news with his fans in a video taking to his Instagram handle. He said, "I’m so excited to announce the Whatever’s Clever! Residency at @bluenotenyc & @bluenotelosangeles," in the caption.
He said that the audience will get to hear a few of his songs that they have already heard and also new ones yet to be released. "This is the most intimate way I could think of showing what I’ve been working on!!!" said the We Don’t Talk Anymore hit-maker.
Charlie, having a background in learning classical and jazz music from Berklee College of Music, explained that the small events would be an endeavor for him reminding him where he started from. "I started my career playing for a couple hundred people a night," he said in the clip.
He continued saying, "It’s been a while since I’ve done it, but I wanna do it again. It’s gonna be me and the band, and we're gonna play a lot of music just like in the beginning—some songs you already know, and some you haven’t heard yet."
The series of shows will start off in New York from September 25 to 28 and later in Los Angeles from October 16 to 19.
"Two shows a night. 2015 was the last time I did a show like this, so, I'm so excited to be doing this again. I can't wait to see you all."
