Prime Minister’s Youth Program Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said on Wednesday two million students would be trained in disaster management in the next three years.
Speaking at the annual report launch of Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Khan talked about Lahore Qalandars cricket trials, laptop scheme, agriculture loan scheme and other ongoing schemes benefitting the youth. He said that he took charge as chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program in April last year and his team was working day and night to achieve its goals.
He said that scholarships were provided to students by the Prime Minister’s Youth Program and a green movement had been started to save the environment, which involves volunteers. He said that Pakistan's youth would not be left behind in any field. He said that more than 100,000 students have registered with the Prime Minister’s Youth Program.
He said that all provinces have been included in the Prime Minister’s Youth Program and now millions of domestic and foreign jobs are available on the Prime Minister’s Youth Program portal. He said there was no recommendation required by the Prime Minister’s Youth Program and everything was based on merit and ability.
He said that 60 million students in Pakistan were involved in e-sports and now Pakistan's first e-sports federation was being launched. He said that game development centers were being built in Pakistan and this was a billion-dollar industry. He said the incumbent was working to give Pakistan many Arshad Nadeems, not just one.
He said his department was working on the National Volunteer Program and technical education program. He said, “We are developing the largest network in the history of Pakistan. It is updated here on a daily basis as to which jobs are available domestically and abroad. We are giving opportunities to our children. We launched the first Punjab Youth Policy.”
Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Culture Farah Naz also attended the ceremony.
