Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Thursday told the government officers that they would not make any recruitment in their departments in violation of merit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The chief minister said categorically that if it came to his notice that hirings had been made by flouting merit, he would neither spare a minister nor a secretary. “I have made it clear from the day one that there will be no appointments against merit,” he said, adding that he would not allow the rights of deserving youths to be usurped.
Bugti also took notice of alleged irregularities in recruitments in the Forest Department and ordered an investigation.
He, however, said he had complete trust in the provincial bureaucracy. “You are capable of putting the province on a right track,” he said, and added, “But at the same time, I want to make it clear to you that there will be no compromise on merit.”
He directed the officers to keep an eye on their subordinates and recruitment committees. “I will not tolerate any irregularity,” the chief minister said emphatically.
