Pakistani supermodel and actress Rabia Butt has taken a meaningful step beyond showbiz by officially registering her own non-profit charity organisation, the ‘Rabia Butt Foundation’, with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

The actress shared the heartwarming news with her followers on Instagram, posting an official document confirming the foundation’s registration along with a deeply personal note explaining the inspiration behind her new initiative.

“There is something very close to my heart that I’ve been wanting to share with you all,” Rabia wrote.

She revealed that the idea of establishing a foundation first took shape during her flood relief efforts last September and October, when she personally experienced the practical difficulties involved in helping affected families.

According to Rabia, one of the biggest challenges she encountered was collecting and managing donations. Since the relief efforts were initially being carried out through her personal bank account, handling contributions and ensuring smooth distribution of funds became increasingly difficult.

“At one point, one of my brothers very kindly gave me access to his account so that people could contribute and we could continue the relief work,” she recalled.

That experience ultimately prompted Rabia to think beyond temporary relief efforts and establish something more structured and sustainable.

“But somewhere during that whole experience, a thought stayed with me: I want to be able to do this properly. I want to create something that can continue beyond one relief effort,” she shared.

What began as an idea gradually transformed into a dream and that dream has now officially become a reality.

Rabia expressed her gratitude and excitement over the registration, admitting that she could hardly put into words what the milestone means to her.

“This is not something I’m doing because I think I can change the world. I’m just someone who has always felt that if Allah has given us the ability to help someone, we should,” she explained.

The actress emphasised that the foundation aims to support people in need in practical and meaningful ways, whether through providing meals, assisting with medical treatment, supporting families facing difficult circumstances or simply standing by someone when they have nowhere else to turn.

“I want this foundation to become a means through which we can do more of that with honesty, transparency and consistency,” Rabia stated.

Acknowledging that the journey will come with its own challenges, the model said she is taking the first step with faith and a strong sense of purpose.

“I know this is only the beginning, and I also know there will be challenges. But I’m taking this first step with a lot of faith and a very full heart,” she wrote.

Rabia also requested prayers for the initiative, asking that the foundation remain a source of dignity, hope and support for those who need it.

“May Allah put immense barakah in this journey, keep my intentions pure, give me the strength to carry this responsibility, and make Rabia Butt Foundation a source of ease, dignity and hope for as many people as possible,” she prayed.

The actress further made it clear that she does not view the foundation as a personal endeavour alone, inviting her followers to become part of the journey.

“Because this was never meant to be just my foundation. It is about all of us coming together to do a little good,” she concluded before signing off with “Bismillah.”

Rabia’s announcement was met with an outpouring of love and encouragement from her fans and followers, who filled the comments section with prayers and congratulatory messages.

Actresses Syeda Tuba and Sunita Marshall were also among those who extended their warm wishes to Rabia on the new chapter.

With the Rabia Butt Foundation now officially registered, the actress has turned her experience on the ground during flood relief work into a broader humanitarian mission one she hopes will continue creating meaningful support for people in need.
