Gold price slips by Rs700 in Pakistan

The prices of gold decreased in the local market on Saturday, with 24-karat gold per tola falling by Rs700 to settle at Rs496,962 compared to Rs497,662 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs600 to Rs426,064 from Rs426,664, whereas 10 grams of 22-karat gold went down by Rs550 to Rs390,572 against Rs391,122.

In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $7 to $4,746 per ounce from $4,753. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 50 to Rs 8,064 from Rs 8,014, while the price of 10 grams of silver also increased by Rs 43 to Rs 6,913 from Rs 6,870.

The price of silver in the international market increased by $0.50 to $75.80 per ounce from $75.30.
