Lahore Qalandars have been dealt a major blow in PSL 11 after Bangladeshi batter Parvez Hossain Emon was ruled out of the tournament due to injury, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
A franchise spokesperson confirmed that the Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter sustained a shoulder injury and will take no further part in the league.
He has subsequently been released from the squad.
Emon picked up the injury during a match against Multan Sultans following a collision with teammate Asif Ali, which left him unfit to continue.
Medical assessments, including an MRI scan, revealed a ligament tear, with doctors advising complete rest for recovery.
The Qalandars management said a replacement player would be announced in due course.
