Feroze Khan reveals eye damage from using Vicks for fake tears

Feroze Khan has opened up about an unusual and painful side-effect of his acting career, developing light sensitivity in his eyes after repeatedly using Vicks to produce fake tears for emotional scenes.
While Vicks is widely marketed as a mentholated topical ointment for cough and congestion relief, its vapours can cause intense eye irritation when applied near the eyelids. 
Eye specialists have repeatedly warned against its misuse, noting risks such as corneal damage, conjunctivitis, and heightened light sensitivity.
Taking to Instagram, the actor made the revelation, stating that when genuine tears were difficult to summon, he resorted to using the common on-set trick for inducing watery eyes, and this repeated practice eventually took a toll on his vision.
“I used to apply Vicks right under my eyes to get a crying look instantly,” Feroze Khan said, adding that he developed a sensitivity to lights.”
