The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday unveiled its updated One Day International (ODI) rankings, reflecting notable changes among several teams, including a one-place drop for Pakistan.
Pakistan, who previously held the fourth position, have slipped to fifth in the global standings with 3,465 rating points.
The decline came after Sri Lanka’s strong performance propelled them into fourth place with 4,009 points, overtaking Pakistan in the latest rankings table.
The rankings update also brought positive news for the West Indies, who climbed one spot to ninth place. Their improvement forced Bangladesh down to tenth after the Tigers dropped one place.
At the top of the table, India continue to dominate the ODI format, leading with 4,471 points.
New Zealand remain firmly in second position with 4,160 points, while Australia hold third place on 3,473 points.
Further down the table, South Africa are sixth with 2,775 points, and Afghanistan stand seventh with 2,279 points, maintaining their positions from the previous update.
